Checklist

Worth checking before we talk

You don't need an answer to all of these.
Tell us what you know and we can start the assessment.

Landowners (ground-mount)

You own farmland, forest, or miscellaneous land.

13 things to check

  1. 01Do you know the land parcel number (jibeon) and roughly how large the site is?
  2. 02What is the land category? (dry field, paddy, orchard, forest, miscellaneous land, and so on)
  3. 03What is the land-use zoning designation? (management area, agricultural and forestry area, and so on — shown on the land use plan confirmation)
  4. 04Roughly how many meters is it to the nearest house?
  5. 05Is there a cluster of houses nearby (five or more)?
  6. 06Does the site front a road that construction vehicles can use?
  7. 07What are the slope and the orientation? (a south-facing, gentle slope helps)
  8. 08Is there a utility pole or a substation near the site?
  9. 09Are there registered interests on the land, such as a mortgage or a surface right?
  10. 10Is the land jointly owned or solely owned?
  11. 11Would you rather lease the land or invest in the project yourself?
  12. 12Do you need to keep farming the land? (this decides whether we look at agrivoltaics)
  13. 13Do you expect any issues with people living nearby?

  2. 02What kind of roof is it? (flat, pitched, sandwich panel, slate, and so on)
  3. 03What year was the building completed?
  4. 04Has the roof leaked before, or is it showing its age?
  5. 05Is anything in the way up there — condenser units, vents, skylights?
  6. 06Do you have the building register or the structural drawings?
  7. 07What is the average monthly electricity bill? (the last 12 months of bills)
  8. 08What is your contracted capacity, in kW?
  9. 09Do you run mostly by day, or mostly at night?
  10. 10Do the companies you supply ask for renewable energy use or carbon data?
  11. 11Are you planning to extend, refurbish, or sell the building?
  12. 12Would you rather lease the roof or invest in the project yourself?
  13. 13If the building is tenanted, can you get the tenant's consent?

  9. 09Is there a capital budget and a target payback period?
  10. 10Have you looked at or carried out energy-saving projects before?
  11. 11Have you applied for a government support program before?

Documents

Documents that sharpen the assessment

We can work without them. With them, the report gets more precise.

Certified copy of the property register

Shows ownership and any registered interests

Land use plan confirmation

Shows the land-use zoning designation and the restrictions that apply

Electricity bills

Shows 12 months of consumption and the tariff

Building register and drawings

Shows the roof structure and its area

If you have no electricity data, register your customer number with KEPCO’s Power Planner (pp.kepco.co.kr) and you can pull recent billing history and hourly consumption. High-voltage customers can download load data at 15-minute intervals, so we can start the assessment without a paper bill.

Free assessment

It starts with one line: the site address.

Leave the address and a way to reach you. We send back an initial assessment report within about five business days.
If the site stands up as a project, the report also sets out competitive EPC bids and financing terms.
